Fort William does not have an ice rink at present. However, there are
plans afoot to develop a curling centre in town and details of this will
be publsihed when more information is available.
Curling
The sport of curling is similar to bows, but played on ice. Traditionally
the game is known as the Bonspiel - the good game, as was played on frozen
lochs and rivers. We'll be bringing you details of the local Curling Club
with pictures soon.
The Highlands of Scotland Tourist Board have Visitor Information Centres
throughout the area and can be relied on to provide high quality help
and service. They can advice you on local suppliers and contacts, as well
as arrange accommodation and provide you with the latest information about
what's on.
