Anglican Communion The Scottish Episcopal Church A welcome awaits you in the many churches of the Diocese of Argyll and the Isles, and we invite you to join us at one of our services listed below. The Scottish Episcopal Church, which was at one time the established church in Scotland, is now one of the many churches throughout the world that form the Anglican (or Episcopal) Communion. If you are a member of the Church of England or the Church of Ireland, for example, then you are in Episcopalian, but whatever your home congregation, you are welcome. This Diocese must have the longest coastline of any Diocese in the British Isles. It stretches from the Butt of Lewis in the north, right down to the Mull of Kintyre in the south. We welcome you to our beautiful country and trust that you will have a very enjoyable stay in this Highland and Island Diocese. The churches listed in the right are those located in the Lochaber area. |
