What do you need from me to
produce a postcard? |
Good question!
We need the following from you to successfully produce a postcard
for you:
1 Your full name and postal address, telephone number and
email address
2 Clear, unambiguous instructions regarding the content of
your postcard - a rough layout will help; the text aspect
of the card can be supplied on disc or emailed to postcards@wingman.co.uk
3 Colour prints, slides or digital images
4 A cheque payable to DIGITAL STUDIO, or a credit card number |

What is the total cost of
the postcard? |
A simple layout postcard, including delivery
is £195.00 + £5.00 postcage + VAT |

What is the untrimmed
size of the card? |
You should make up your page size to 176mm x 121mm which
includes a 3mm bleed if your photos are to print off the card. |

How close can I go
to the edge of the card? |
Please do not place any text closer than
5mm from the edge of the trimmed size of the card, which is
172 x 115mm. Photos and illustrations can bleed off the card
if you allow 3mm extra |

How many photos can
I have on my postcard or flyer? |
We have allowed for a
total of 3 images/scans to be included.
If you'd like more than 3 images on your card ADD
£5 per image
If you are producing your own digital artwork, you can have
whatever you like on each side of the card - it's your card
and your time!

What about the actual content
of the postcard? |
We will not print anything which could
possibly offend or libel any other person, or which is illegal
- know what we mean? |

Can I use images
from a Website? |
NO, NO, NO!!! Not Never
- you'd only be very seriously disappointed..... |

How complex a design can I
get for £195.00? |
Complex designs and layouts will take more
time to put together than a simple design. If you want something
really complex and/or fancy, send us a sample or idea and we'll
quote you for doing this extra work. If you allow an extra
£40 for more typesetting/design time, you won't be too far
away. |

Which applications
files do we accept? |
We can accept Photoshop, Illustrator, or INDesign files. Do not send Word,
Publisher or Corel files without asking us first. If you use
Fireworks output
your completed file as a Press resolution PDF
You can also supply a finalised PDF file containing all images
and fonts used in your document. |

If I supply my own
complete digital artwork, do I get a discount? |
If you are a professional and provide absolutely
perfect digital artwork, we will give you a discount of £20
per card. If we have to do anything to your artwork to get
it to work on our system, no discount whatsoever will be given.
This is NOT negotiable. |

Can I have a smaller
size of card? |
Yes you can. We can centre a smaller size
of postcard - A6 for example on the space allocated for each
card on the printing sheet. HOWEVER, it will take more work
to guillotine this smaller card out of the printed sheet, so
ADD £10.00 |

Do I have to have
colour on the reverse of the card? |
No. The reverse of your card can be printed
in BLACK ink only. |

Can I have coloured text on
my card? |
Yes! If you are producing your own digital
artwork, make sure all the colours you choose are produced
out of CMYK |

How long do the cards take
for delivery? |
We can't guarantee a specific delivery for your card, until we have 7 other customers' jobs on the sheet with yours We can advise you of this at any time if you email us.
If you
need a guaranteed delivery date we can deliver on this by
printing your postcard on its own. The cost is £395.00

What type of proof will I
get? |
We'll supply you with a good quality colour
PDF. If you wish a colour
accurate
proof, this will cost an extra £10.00 |

What do I do with the proof
when I receive it? |
Good question!!!
We require you to check and read over EVERYTHING VERY CAREFULLY.
We require you to do this STRAIGHT AWAY.
Once you've checked the proof, SIGN the
proofing slip and post everything back to us. You are 100%
responsible for the content of the postcard. |

Can I get a double postcard
which folds in the middle? |
Yes! A double postcard becomes a folded
card - like a greeting card. We'll crease this for you and
supply the cards flat.
A double postcard, creased and supplied flat costs an extra
£165.00 depending on the design work required. |

What if I want more than one
postcard? |
You can have as many postcards as you like.
For 6 cards we'll give you 5% discount. For 8 cards, we'll
give you 10% discount. Prices depend on design and requirements.
We offer a huge variety of different weights of board
and card sizes if you require 8, 16 or more cards. For this
type of order, we'll be very pleased to provide you with a
competitive quotation for any specification. |

Can you help us with
photography? |
Yes! We have access to a quality picture
library and know many professional photographers who we are
happy to refer you to. |
